The identity of ALMA is in relationship - evidenced in the links that have formed and grown since the ALMA covenant was signed in 1998. Currently there are 44 London parishes twinned with parishes in Angola (10), Lebombo (12) and Niassa (22). Six schools are formally twinned and others are developing connections.
As visits between link parishes and schools have taken place, we have all learnt a little of what it is to walk in each others’ shoes. Do explore the links and visits pages and be inspired by the deepening friendship within ALMA.
On a Links page a hyperlink will take you to a reflection and brief history of the link, written by the parishes concerned - preferably, both sides.
On a Visits page a hyperlink will take you to a report of the visit.
Both of these are ongoing projects. Contributions to fill in the gaps and complete the record are welcomed by the ALMA Communications Officer.
There are parishes in Lebombo, Niassa and Angola currently wanting to be in relationship with a parish in London. If you think your parish might be interested, why not contact the ALMA Twinning Officer to talk about this further
