AIDS World day, Bishop André Soares of Angola as activist number one, appealed the communities to involve more and more in the Fight against Aids, especially the women and the youths, because are the more reached and vulnerable.

The country is seen as open door for HIV/AIDS, although the armed conflict is over, but the figure of infected and affected ones by Aids is increasing day by day since the country makes border to neighbour countries like Namibia, Zambia, DRC, Republic of Congo. Just to point out that Cunene who makes border with Namibia, the cases are increased by 10.8% of infected people from the general number of its inhabitants. “I believe that it would be possible to combat the pandemic if we join all the efforts to fight against the stigma and discrimination, which are the two factors that affect the people living with HIV/AIDS”, mentioned the Anglican Bishop.
