ALMA EMAIL CIRCULAR 10 JULY 2008

From Sheenagh Burrell, ALMA Communications Officer

Dear ALMA Reps and Friends,

This is a very short circular in anticipation of seeing, worshipping and celebrating with you on Sunday!

Twyford School Gospel Choir
Twyford School Gospel Choir

All around London people are preparing for the special service celebrating ALMA and London’s other international Links. In Stoke Newington teams are sewing your prayers onto the rivers of prayers - including the creative prayers from Hampton and Bethnal Green. In Friern Barnet young drummers are practicising their rhythms. In Acton Twyford School Gospel Choir has been taught the Kikongo words for one of our hymns by the two Angolan Luisas from St Stephen’s Canonbury, who also sang to the Senior Staff team meeting. I hope you too are sharing this sense of preparation and excitement.

If you are looking for ALMA prayers for Sunday morning intercessions do remember there are many to choose from in the prayer section of the website, including the Partnership Prayer. There is also a wealth of material on ALMA and the Millennium Development Goals from last year which remains very relevant at this time of the G8 summit and just before 600 Anglican Bishops March for the MDGs on Thursday 24 July.

Please remember the doors of St Paul’s Cathedral open at 5.15pm on Sunday and, apart from a small number of reserved seats for Bishop Richard’s guests, seating is on a first come first served basis. The Tyford Gospel Choir will be singing from 5.25pm.

Deus é bom, todo tempo. Todo tempo, Deus é bom

See you on Sunday!

Sheenagh
