Dear ALMA Reps and Friends,

This mailing contains:

  1. Diary Dates
  2. Lent Appeal updates

1. Diary Dates

Here are details of two ALMA Reps Meetings for your diaries: the first will be more relevant to parishes with links in Angola although, of course, all are welcome. The second is a full ALMA Reps and Friends meeting.

1. Friday 27 March: lunchtime meeting with Pat Phillips - British Ambassador to Angola at St Peter’s Eton Square Parish Hall, London SW1W 9AL (close to Victoria Station). 12.30pm for sandwiches. Formal Meeting from 12.45-1.30pm. NB This is strictly RSVP. Please let me know as quickly as possible if you are coming. Reps with Angola links are asked to invite their parish priests to join us for this meeting.

2. Thursday 7 May: ALMA REPS MEETING at London Diocesan House 6-8pm Main Hall Sandwiches and light refreshments from 5.45pm Meeting at 6pm. A full agenda will be distributed nearer the time but we will certainly hear from John Tasker on his visit to Angola and the Ministry and Mission programme there. We have also booked Rooms A and B so that we have separate rooms when we break into our three Chaplaincy groups (for Angola, Lebombo and Niassa).

You will have noticed the sterling work Ian and Marjorie Leitch have done at recent meetings in serving tea and coffee and clearing our refreshments. Are there two of you who would volunteer to do this on 7 May? Please let me know.

2. Lent Appeal updates

I hope the Lent Appeal is going well in your parishes.

With best wishes

Sheenagh
