This diocesan appeal raised £75,000 for five health care projects across southern Africa

The projects are supported by Christian Aid, CMS, USPG, the Mothers’ Union and Crosslinks.

It was a wonderful response by London parishes, given that Lent started less than two months after the Asian tsunami tragedy.

After the appeal, each of the five agencies gave feedback on their particular project and a report (146K) was circulated to all parishes.

Christian Aid’s partner in Angola, The Association of Christian Youth (ACJ), received a grant of £19,000 for its malaria and HIV programmes – a real benefit for one of our link dioceses.
