ALMA Sundays held each year, news items shared in the parish magazine, diocesan appeals supported. St George’s Beira, Mozambique and Angola included in prayer diary and intercessions. Contact with link parish via Chris Hemborough who works for Project Mozambique and lives in Beira. |

2005 |
John, David and Frances Philpott visit Beira and neigbouring country, including Zove, where there is now a church called St Mary's, an Esperanca Berta Health Centre and an Esperanca Berta primary school. |
2006 |
Chris Hemborough suggests to Fr Paul Walmsley-McLeod that the Esperanca Berta school could twin with St John’s primary school. Letters received from pupils in Zove, whose ages are very different from those at St John's. |
2007 |
A very good report on Zove is received from Father Isaiah. |
2008 |
On Ash Wednesday Bishop Richard Chartres launches the 2008 Lent Appeal ‘Education for All’ at St John’s Church and St John’s Primary School. |
