Parish decides to form a link with St George’s in Beira.
Elizabeth Tucker joins the first visit to Mozambique by an ALMA group. She is badly injured in the car accident at Zove that kills Berta Sengulane. |

Fr Isaiah from St George’s Beira visits Friern Barnet.
Bishop Dinis also visits St John’s.

2005 |
John, David and Frances Philpott visit Beira and neigbouring country, including Zove, where there is now a church called St Mary's, an Esperanca Berta Health Centre and an Esperanca Berta primary school. |
2006 |
Chris Hemborough suggests to Fr Paul Walmsley-McLeod that the Esperanca Berta school could twin with St John’s primary school. Letters received from pupils in Zove, whose ages are very different from those at St John's. |
2007 |
A very good report on Zove is received from Father Isaiah.
Bishop Dinis invites ElizabethTucker to be one of his commissaries in England and visits St John’s church in September during a short visit to London.

On Ash Wednesday Bishop Richard Chartres launches the 2008 Lent Appeal ‘Education for All’ at St John’s Church and St John’s Primary School.
