Josephine Mutemba, ALMA Link Officer in Lebombo, reports that they had a 'blessed Stand Up event' in Bagamoyo. The two districts of Maputo and Umbeluzi met on Sunday afternoon for a special service for the licensing of Revd Juan Ramirez Rubio who will serve as the new assistant priest in Bagamoyo. 612 people heard about STAND Up Against Poverty and then joined hands across and around the church to unite with people all around the world taking the same action.

Archdeacon Agostino Burque also led a Stand Up in Inhambane Province.

In London, to date, we have news of a successful Stand Up in St John's Stanmore (109), St Saviour's Hampstead (31) and Twyford School Fellowship Group. The Bishop of Kensington led the Stand Up at his Area Conference and encouraged the churches to do likewise on Sunday. 235 delegates took part.
